From 7:00 a.m. on March 10, relics and religious establishments (such as temples and pagodas) in Thai Binh province are permitted to reopen and resume operations; however, festivals remain prohibited.
Previously, on the afternoon of March 9, at a meeting of the Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control in Thai Binh province, after reviewing the opinions and proposals of committee members, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and Head of the Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, provided directives regarding adjustments to certain epidemic prevention measures in the province.
In accordance with his directives, as of 7:00 a.m. on March 10, relics and religious establishments in Thai Binh province are allowed to resume operations. However, these establishments are still prohibited from organizing festivals or large gatherings and must strictly adhere to epidemic prevention regulations, including controlling the flow of visitors, maintaining visitor logs, ensuring mask-wearing, practicing disinfection, and enforcing social distancing.
Mr. Nguyen Khac Than also instructed the relevant authorities to continue operating the interdisciplinary working group at the Hiep Bridge epidemic control checkpoint (Quynh Phu).
Regarding ferry services to Hai Duong province, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee assigned the Chairman of the Quynh Phu District People’s Committee to determine the number of trips, passenger capacity, specific transport cases for each trip, and the necessary epidemic prevention and control measures.
The transportation and circulation of goods within the province will be carried out in accordance with guidelines from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, as well as inter-sectoral directives from the departments of Industry and Trade, Health, and Transport.
Furthermore, the Chairman directed the provincial health sector to update and classify epidemic areas nationwide on a daily basis, provide guidance on appropriate epidemic prevention measures, and disseminate relevant information to the media. Local authorities must promptly update and inform residents about epidemic-affected areas while proactively detecting and reporting individuals returning from such areas.
Additionally, he urged the Management Board of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks, along with relevant departments, agencies, and localities, to strengthen inspections and ensure compliance with epidemic prevention measures at enterprises and production facilities.
At the meeting, the case of Patient No. 2148—who tested positive again three days after being discharged from a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City and returning to Thai Binh by air—was also discussed. It was reported that the patient’s health condition remains stable. The province has traced and identified one F1 case (the driver who transported the patient), four F2 cases (the driver’s family members), and 58 individuals who were on the same flight as the patient. All individuals have been subjected to the necessary epidemic prevention measures in accordance with regulations.
