Attending and witnessing the ceremony were Venerable Thích Thanh Quang – Abbot of Tổ Đình Chùa Keo; Venerable Thích Thanh Dương – Abbot of Bùi Xá Pagoda, Minh Lãng Commune; Venerable Thích Đạo Huyền – Văn Lâm Pagoda, Duy Nhất Commune; Nun Thích Đàm Nhung – Abbess of Phan Xá Pagoda; Nun Thích Đàm Thùy – Abbess of Đức Long Pagoda; Nun Thích Đàm Thu – Abbess of Đồng Pagoda, along with esteemed monastics from within and outside the commune.
On the side of government officials, the ceremony was honored by the presence of Mr. Phạm Ngọc Bùi – Secretary of the Party Committee of Duy Nhất Commune; Mr. Hoàng Văn Khâm – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Duy Nhất Commune; Mr. Đặng Hồng Kha – Chairman of the People's Committee of Duy Nhất Commune; Mr. Phạm Xuân Cường – Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Duy Nhất Commune; Mr. Phạm Xuân Trường – Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Duy Nhất Commune, along with representatives of various departments and organizations in the commune, representatives of Văn Lang Hamlet, Văn Thái Hamlet, Trường Xuân Hamlet; Teacher Phạm Xuân Lan – Principal of Nguyễn Trãi High School, along with teachers representing schools throughout the commune and a large number of Buddhist devotees and local residents.
After the ritual of chanting Buddha’s name for blessings, saluting the National Flag and the Buddhist Flag, and commemorating the venerable monastics of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (GHPGVN) who passed away through different periods, as well as paying tribute to the great President Hồ Chí Minh, fallen heroes, soldiers who sacrificed their lives, and fellow countrymen who perished during the resistance wars against French colonialists and American imperialists, Venerable Thích Thanh Dương solemnly read the Vesak Message of Buddhist Calendar 2562 from the Supreme Patriarch, Elder Venerable Thích Phổ Tuệ, addressed to monastics and Buddhist followers in Vietnam and abroad.
Next, Venerable Thích Thanh Quang solemnly delivered the Opening Speech of the Vesak Celebration for Buddhist Calendar 2562, authored by the Most Venerable Thích Thiện Nhơn, President of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (GHPGVN). The Venerable also praised the merits and devotion of the Buddhist followers of Thiên Quán Pagoda (Văn Lang Pagoda) for their dedication in organizing and participating in Buddhist activities.
On this occasion, the organizing committee graciously received beautiful floral tributes and congratulatory gifts from esteemed guests, government officials, local organizations, and individuals from the community.
