With the approval of Venerable Thich Thanh Quang, the abbot of Keo Pagoda, Thai Binh, on March 19, 2017, the Youth Buddhist Club of Keo Pagoda, in collaboration with the school’s administration of Minh Lang Secondary School (Minh Lang Commune, Vu Thu District, Thai Binh Province), solemnly organized the program “Extracurricular – Learning Dharma – Ethics and Lifestyle.”
Present at the event were Venerable Thich Thanh Quang, abbot of Keo Pagoda, and school administrators: Mr. Phan Van Anh, the school principal; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien, the vice-principal; teachers of the subjects; and nearly 300 students.
At the extracurricular program, the students had the opportunity to express their feelings, learn about the historic Keo Pagoda in Thai Binh, reconnect with their spiritual roots, and enrich their knowledge by finding valuable lessons. Meanwhile, the monks shared the teachings of the Buddha, guiding the students on how to become righteous young Buddhists, practicing virtue, avoiding evil, and being useful members of their families and society.
