Keo Pagoda Youth Buddhist Club Meets for the Lunar New Year of the Rooster 2017

On the afternoon of February 4, 2017 (the 4th day of the first lunar month in the Year of the Rooster), the Youth Buddhist Club of Keo Pagoda, Thai Binh, held a gathering to celebrate the beginning of the Lunar New Year at the Keo Pagoda.

The event was attended by Venerable Thich Thanh Quang, the abbot of Keo Pagoda, along with the members of the club. In the festive atmosphere of the new spring, the monks offered the best wishes for the participants and their families during the meeting.

Venerable Thich Thanh Quang also gave a Dharma talk to the youth, offering the first lesson of the Year of the Rooster: “The Path to Seeking Happiness in the Present.” Through this lesson, the youth were encouraged to strive for and practice virtuous living to achieve peace and happiness in this life.

After the Dharma session, the club held a review of past activities and discussed the upcoming Buddhist tasks for the year 2017.

The gathering ended on a joyful note, leaving a lasting impression on all participants.
