Namo Great Filial Piety Moggallana Bodhisattva!

Respectfully to the Venerable Monks, Senior Monks, and Respected Buddhist Clergy.
Dear virtuous men and women, dear Buddhists from near and far.

Every year, when the seventh lunar month arrives, millions of Buddhist hearts beat in unison to welcome the Vu Lan season—a time of remembrance and deep gratitude for the immense kindness of our teachers, ancestors, and parents who gave birth to and nurtured us with boundless love and care.

"The autumn leaves fall in the seventh month,"
"The world embraces the Vu Lan season."
"A wistful heart recalls the debt of birth,"
"Tears flow with profound gratitude."

In keeping with the ancient cultural tradition of filial piety and in response to the wishes of Buddhist devotees everywhere, Keo Ancestral Pagoda solemnly organizes the Grand Vu Lan Filial Piety Ceremony.

The ceremony will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2018 (the 9th day of the 7th lunar month of the Year of the Dog) with the following schedule:

13:30 – Gathering at the monastery
14:00 – Prayer ceremony for the Season of Filial Devotion
15:00 – Dharma talk: "Harbor of Love"
16:30 – Break
17:00 – Light meal
19:00 – Grand Vu Lan Filial Piety Ceremony

• Candle lighting ceremony in gratitude to parents

• "Rose on the Chest" program
  21:30 – Conclusion

The Organizing Committee respectfully invites the Buddhist clergy, virtuous men and women, devoted Buddhists from near and far, and young Buddhist followers to gather at Keo Ancestral Pagoda – Thai Binh to participate in this meaningful ceremony.
