Keo Pagoda Initiates Fundraising to Assist Students with Disabilities.

Phạm Hải Anh is currently a fifth-grade student at Duy Nhất Primary School, Vũ Thư District, Thái Bình Province. Unfortunately, he is suffering from a severe illness caused by a virus attacking his brain. However, his family situation is extremely difficult. Since childhood, he and his older brother (who is one year older and somewhat slow) have lacked the care and love of both their father and mother. He lives with his grandmother, and every day, it's just the three of them, relying on each other. Unfortunately, due to his serious illness, his grandmother has to spend time taking care of him at the hospital. The family's financial situation, already very difficult, is now facing even greater struggles.

Hải Anh is currently receiving treatment at Thai Binh Children's Hospital.

Recognizing the difficulties faced by the family, and driven by the compassionate spirit of Buddhism and the tradition of mutual support, Tổ đình Chùa Keo Thái Bình took the initiative to call upon philanthropists to come together and share the burdens faced by Hải Anh's family.

Just one day after the appeal was made, Tổ đình Chùa Keo received continuous support from kind-hearted individuals, who entrusted the donation to the organizing committee for delivery to Phạm Hải Anh’s family. On the afternoon of May 23, 2019, Đại Đức Thích Thanh Quang, the abbot of Tổ đình Chùa Keo Thái Bình, along with the charitable social committee of the temple and representatives of the philanthropists, visited the hospital to offer words of encouragement and presented 15,000,000 VND (fifteen million VND) directly to Hải Anh's family.

Venerable Thich Thanh Quang presented the amount of 15,000,000 VND to Hải Anh's family.

The gift may not be very substantial, but it is hoped that it will assist Hải Anh's family in continuing to battle the serious illness. We wish Hải Anh a quick recovery so he can resume his studies and enjoy playing with his friends.
