Attending and directing the conference were the following officials: Nguyễn Anh Tuấn, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; Phạm Thị Như Phong, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People’s Committee; Đỗ Mạnh Viết, Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the District People's Council; Phạm Công Diện, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the District Propaganda Department; along with other district leaders, members of the Festival Steering Committee, the Organizing Committee, and various honored individuals and organizations.
The 2024 Autumn Festival at Keo Pagoda was organized on a district-wide scale, lasting 8 days (from October 12 to October 19, 2024), two days longer than previous years. New activities were introduced, adding diversity while preserving traditional cultural elements and creating a joyful atmosphere.
Thanks to meticulous preparation, clear assignment of tasks, and smooth coordination among subcommittees, especially in communication and promotion, the festival attracted about 170,000 visitors, Buddhist followers, and pilgrims. The media team at Keo Pagoda Monastery managed social media channels like Facebook, Fanpage, and TikTok, gaining over 12,000 followers and 10,000 likes. They posted 2 news articles, 91 posts, 818 photos, and 35 videos, significantly enhancing the festival's visibility. The live broadcast of the Lantern Festival received over 7,000 views, while events like the Opening Ceremony and the Saint Procession attracted nearly 100,000 views and 68,000 interactions.
During the festival, a fair promoting OCOP products and key local goods was held, featuring 130 booths. Security, traffic management, fire prevention, and food safety were effectively ensured, providing a pleasant and convenient experience for visitors.
The interior of Keo Pagoda, including the Buddha Temple, Saint Temple, Ancestral Temple, and Mother Temple, was decorated solemnly and in accordance with Buddhist traditions. Two ritual platforms were set up at the Ông Hộ Building and in front of the Saint Temple for prayers and offerings. The exhibition titled “Keo Pagoda: Past and Present” at the Lecture Hall showcased 25 photo frames illustrating the history of the pagoda and its festivals, attracting a large number of visitors.
During the conference, participants discussed both the achievements and limitations of the festival, drawing lessons for better organization in future editions. The district leaders presented Certificates of Commendation to 2 organizations and 9 individuals for their outstanding contributions to the success of the 2024 Autumn Festival at Keo Pagoda.
