To meet the spiritual and recreational needs of young Buddhist students in Thai Bình province, and to cultivate compassion, wisdom, and the Buddhist spirit, Keo Pagoda Monastery has organized a summer retreat for young people, especially students. This initiative has been supported by the Buddhist community, local government, and the enthusiasm and desire for learning and self-improvement from the youth.

In response to the demand and wish to participate in the 2016 Summer Retreat from the youth members of the Keo Pagoda Youth Association, the Buddhist Youth Club of Ung Linh Pagoda, and all other young people in Thái Bình province, the organizing committee has decided to hold the 2016 Summer Retreat with the theme: "Happiness in the Present Moment."

Despite efforts to accommodate all applicants, due to limited facilities and resources, the organizing committee will only be able to accept 100 participants for the retreat. To ensure the retreat is well-organized and of high quality, only 100 participants will be accepted.

Retreat Details:

• Duration: 7 days and 6 nights (from the morning of July 10 to the afternoon of July 16, 2016).

• Target Audience: Students aged 16 to 25 (born between 2000 and 1991).

Requirements:

• Must present a national ID card or household registration to apply for temporary residence.

• Must have a student ID card (if applicable).

• Should bring Buddhist attire (gray or brown, not mandatory to follow a specific style).

• No family members are allowed to accompany the participants.

• Registration is required from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM on July 10, 2016. The organizing committee will not accept late arrivals.

• Participants must attend the full 7 days and 6 nights of the retreat.

Registration Process:

• Registration is open from June 20, 2015, to July 1, 2016.

• Registration forms will be available at the Keo Pagoda Monastery office.

• Parents or relatives may register on behalf of the participants.

• Once selected, the organizing committee will send a confirmation letter with the official seal.

• If unable to attend, kindly inform the organizing committee at least five days before the retreat so others can be given the opportunity.

• Upon arrival, participants must bring the confirmation letter, their national ID card, and student ID (if applicable).

Note: Documents must be submitted directly to the Keo Pagoda Monastery office by July 1, 2016. Once the 100 spots are filled, the organizing committee will no longer accept new registrations.
